The QA/QC Supervisor

Management of all aspects of quality assurance and quality control for fixed equipment. To include weld inspection, assembly inspection, and management of materials of construction. Duties will include field inspections of equipment to include internal inspection of tanks and digesters. Travel may be required at times for shop inspections.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Manage all quality assurance and quality control aspects of mechanical repairs

Manage tank integrity projects for tanks requiring maintenance according to API 653 regulations

Support portions of larger capital projects requiring new tank construction per API 650 and/or significant tank upgrades

Collaborate with Operations, Scheduling, and Environmental to develop schedule for performing tank work

NDT management, Working knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing, Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Positive Material Identification, and material hardness testing

Preparing detailed reports describing type of degradation mechanisms, effect of degradation mechanisms, process streams, etc..

Establish and assign routine maintenance schedules and coordinate Tank downtime.

Maintain inventory of parts and supplies with a focus on cost controls

Schedule work, coordinate production activities, provide direct oversight of employees

Prepare estimates, budgets, schedules, materials and contract specifications, procurement plans, and work plans for projects, track and report on project progress and performance

Ensure predictive and preventive maintenance programs are accomplished and repairs are completed

Establish and maintain maintenance budgets.

Recommend capital improvements including assisting the design and installation of new equipment

Knowledge of corrosion & welding. Welding knowledge of structural and pipe with GTAW, and SMAW processes

Ensure maintenance crew understands and is able to troubleshoot all corrugator jobs and is fully trained on mechanical and electrical repairs, equipment use, adjustments, and unique situations

Maintain a clean, safe and injury-free work environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are understood and executed by all employees

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree or completed certification in production maintenance or previous experience in

related experience

    • ASME Boiler & Vessel Codes (Sec VIII Div I & II)
    • ASME Piping Codes (B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8)
    • Pressure Vessel Inspection (API 510)
    • Pressure Piping Inspection (API 570) n Pressure Relief Systems (API 520/526)
    • Tank Evaluations (API 620/650/653)
    • Risk-Based Inspection (API 580/581)
    • Fitness for Service (API 579)
    • Damage Mechanisms (API 571)





Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFFERED QUALFICATIONS:

Preferred Certifications





    • API 653 Tank Inspector
    • AWS Certified Welding Inspector-CWI
    • Certified Level II Ultra Sonic Testing per ASNT SNT-TC-1A
    • Mag Particle and Dye penetrant testing
    • X-Ray film interpretation





Bachelor's degree in engineering or previous supervisory experience in coaching, training, teambuilding, performance development, and conflict resolution strongly preferred

Experience with manufacturing safety practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Solid analytical, mechanical, and mathematical skills.

Solid working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Working knowledge of maintenance of corrugated and packaging equipment.

Working knowledge of manufacturing systems including shop floor software.

Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.
