Job Description The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering invites applications for a Full-time non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Lecturer A or Senior Lecturer A in Aerospace Engineering to start in Fall 2025. For exceptional candidates with distinguished experience, candidates could be considered as Professor of Professional Practice based upon the review of credentials. The successful candidate is expected to teach basic and advanced aerospace engineering related courses; serve as the faculty advisor for students interested in aerospace engineering and create a strong community for these students to thrive in; serve as faculty advisor for student clubs related to aerospace engineering; engage the faculty in curriculum development; contribute to research proposals to strengthen educational components and industry collaboration; reach out to industry to coordinate experiential activities and internships; and promote diversity and inclusiveness. The initial appointment will be for two years, with renewal based on performance. The Lecturer A /Senior Lecturer A will join a team of faculty noted for excellence and innovation in undergraduate and graduate education. Requirements Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree or a M.S. degree with multiple years of industrial experience in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in industry, government, or teaching in aerospace engineering. To be qualified at the Senior Lecturer rank, candidates must have six years of full-time experience.
