Widener University is currently seeking a full-time tenure track Mathematics faculty member in the College of Arts and Sciences to start fall 2025. Candidates should have experience teaching mathematics at the college/university level, good communication skills, and demonstrable excellence in teaching, and a research plan that will allow them to publish in their field. Primary responsibilities will be teaching 9-12 credits of undergraduate mathematics per semester, primarily for science and engineering students, maintaining active scholarship, and participating in academic citizenship at all levels of the university.

Candidates will be required to have a Ph.D in Mathematics and experience teaching mathematics at the college level as the instructor of record. ABD candidates may be considered if the degree will be completed by May 2025.

Applicants must submit a cover letter addressing the position requirements, a curriculum vitae, and all of the following documents compiled into a single file in PDF format: a) statement of teaching philosophy, b) statement of research, and c) transcripts by October 31, 2024 at widener.edu/jobs. In these materials, please provide examples of your experiences with diverse student populations and demonstrate how you could promote an environment of inclusive excellence in our department and in the broader Widener University community through your teaching, scholarship, and service activities. Also, please have three letters of reference, at least one addressing the candidate's teaching effectiveness, and at least one addressing the candidate's research, sent to ArtsandSciences@widener.edu.
