The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University invites applications for two assistant professor, nine-month, tenure-track positions in Statistics/Data Science (DS)/Topological Data Analysis (
TDA), beginning on August 1, 2025. Candidates with expertise in all areas of statistics, topological data analysis (
TDA), and data science are desired. Successful candidates are expected to pursue independent research and teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University boasts a dynamic faculty of over 50 members, specializing in a diverse range of mathematical, statistical, and data science fields. Minimum Qualifications |
An earned doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, and Data Science or a closely related field is required by the appointment start date. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English and possess excellent writing and interpersonal skills. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
