Certified HHA Weekends - Per Diem Day Weekends
POSITION SUMMARY:
To perform intermittent direct or indirect hands-on patient care to meet the patient's needs in accordance with the plan of care and assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
One year of current experience in a skilled nursing facility, home health agency, or proven proficiency.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Completion of the State approved Home Health Aide Training course, Home Health Aide competency exam and certification through the New Jersey State Board of Nursing. Ability to work in a changing patient care environment and meet patient's needs (chronic and/or terminal illness). Ability to work cooperatively within the health system; with patient and family members; and with multidisciplinary team members (i.e. , nurses, Rehab staff, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to read write and understand english. Driver's License - current and valid driver's license, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision. Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
