Job Summary Glendale Community College (GCC) is seeking a Supervisor of Recruitment and Advisement to oversee recruitment, college prep and new student advising programs and services. In this role, you will serve as a brand ambassador, provide exceptional customer service and foster student and community engagement to grow our admission pipeline and overall college enrollment. As the Supervisor of Recruitment and Advisement, you will be responsible for strengthening the bridge between recruiting, new student onboarding and advising services to leverage resources and streamline processes to enhance the onboarding experience. In addition, you will be responsible for planing and implementing recruitment outreach events and activities to include on campus, feeder schools, community agencies, organizations, business and industry; hire, train and supervise assigned staff for optimal performance; implement and administer a tracking system, data collection and analysis for continuous improvement; assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive college recruitment plan. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in using technology to track progress against goals, Student Information Systems, and other technologies to document work activities, organize daily priorities, input student inquiries and track follow-up. Essential Functions 50% - Plans, organizes and supervises the daily operational functions of Recruitment, College Prep and New Student Advisement programs and services to strengthen the enrollment pipeline and ensure a successful onboarding experience for new and returning students to Glendale Community College (GCC). Lead the planning of recruitment outreach events and activities on and off campus. Develops, implements and leads training efforts; identifies training needs and opportunities; develops and maintains training materials. Responsible for hiring, new employee onboarding and evaluating the work of staff. Identifies program needs and issues; directs and oversees the resolution of escalated issues and customer concerns. Plans and administers a tracking system, data collection and analysis, prepares reports and identifies needs and recommendations for continuous improvement 30% - Collaborates on the development of a comprehensive college recruitment plan. Oversees short-term and long-term goals aligned with the strategic enrollment priorities of the department, GCC and the district. Assists with the planning and implementation of cross-departmental events and activities on campus to support departmental and college guided pathways efforts. Assists in supporting the overall needs and goals of the department; manages department budget, inventory and office supplies 20% - Conducts research, reviews findings, analyzes trends and best practices to enhance program delivery. Collaborative with key stakeholders and partners on and off campus. Participate in college/district committees and work groups; other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, sociology, business administration or directly related field and four years of student services or related experience. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. Master's degree B. Four (4) or more years' current experience in Recruitment, Academic Advising, or a related Enrollment Services area C. Two (2) or more years' experience supervising staff in a Student Services area D. Two (2) or more years' experience providing staff training E. Two (2) or more years' experience in organizing recruitment/student services outreach events and activities F. Three (3) years of experience utilizing technology in daily operations (such as Student Information Systems and/or Customer Relations Management Systems) G. Two (2) years of experience developing strategies to evaluate and enhance quality assurance procedures Special Working Conditions
