Supervisory Responsibilities * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures. * Directly supervises the assigned team, program participants, volunteers, and community service participants; performs work of subordinates as needed. * Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and developing team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; maintaining a safe work environment; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to: * Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or sales reports. * Effectively write reports. * Effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, and team members using tact, courtesy, and cooperativeness. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures. * Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Compute rate, ratio, and percent. * Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Multi-task effectively; be able to adjust to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events; be flexible and/or adaptable as work requirements change. * Deal with a few abstract and concrete variables, exercising judgment, resourcefulness, ingenuity, and initiative. * Exercise discretion while managing confidential information. * Operate a Windows based computer, Android or iOS based mobile devices. * Must have experience and sound working knowledge of material handling equipment and computers to include Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Office, Excel), data-based programs and internet. * Work effectively in a team-based environment; interact professionally with customers and a highly diverse team member base on a regular and routine basis. * Obtain and maintain Forklift/Stacker and CPR/First Aid certifications. * Maintain a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation at all times and automobile insurance acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures. Education and Experience Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Business or related field and four years of retail experience progressive managerial responsibility; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, climb, or balance, or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or lift and/or move over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
