About the Role:

The senior total rewards specialist is part of the Human Resources team accountable for the strategy development, design, implementation, administration, and governance of total rewards programs, as well as for benefit administration - including health and welfare programs, wellness programming, and the human resource information system (HRIS). This role ensures that all programs align with and support NYSTEC's strategic aims, are competitive, are sustainable, and have an impact on the long- and short-term performance of the organization by being effective in attracting, rewarding, and retaining key talent, as well as complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a thought partner to the organization in developing and delivering a total rewards strategy, programs, and plans and in counseling leadership for optimal solutions.
  • Responsibility for all benefit compliance.
  • Partnering with NYSTEC's broker to develop a comprehensive, cost-effective benefits package and to educate the workforce on consumer driven healthcare and innovative ways to take advantage of all benefit offerings.
  • Oversees NYSTEC's wellness programming to deliver programs and activities designed to improve employee health and well-being and to motivate employees to become more proactive in their roles.
  • Collaborates with HR leadership and team members in the development, recommendation and implementation of total rewards programs and health and welfare benefits that are compliant and competitive.


HRIS:



  • Manages, maintains, and audits the data in the HRIS as it relates to business processes that support the employee life cycle.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to develop user (employee and manager) documentation to support the system functionality and experience. This may include providing training to users.
  • Discover inefficiencies in business processes impacting HR data management and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across NYSTEC with respect to HRIS enhancements, maintenance, testing, upgrades and related data integrity.


Compensation:



  • Builds and supports the HRIS (Ultimate Kronos Group [UKG]) compensation and performance modules.
  • Supports the HR team with the performance management process and compensation analysis, including any applicable supporting documents that are needed (e.g., award letters).


About you:

If you are a HR professional with a bachelor's degree and eight years of experience in designing and managing benefits and total rewards strategies, HRIS super user, preferably UKG, NYSTEC may be the place for you. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.

The pay range for this position is $79,793.00 to $109,716.00 per year.
