Location: Lourdes Health System - 1600 Haddon AveEmployment Type: EmployeeEmployment Classification: RegularTime Type: Full timeWork Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America)Total Weekly Hours: 40Additional Locations: Job Information: Job Summary: Responsibility for accounting and financial reporting for all Virtua's assigned client area(s). Direct oversight and assurance of accurate monthly reporting at individual center level. Must collaborate with the center's management teams, management companies and external CPA firms to facilitate accurate and appropriate financial reporting. Monitor financial outcomes of all centers to other centers and industry benchmarks. Provide financial support to Administrators and center mgmt. team to assure understanding of center's financial performance. Additionally provide consolidated financial reporting to Virtua senior mgmt. on the financial outcomes of the client area. Will also ensure that Virtua's best interests, standards, and its not-for-profit status are adhered to and protected with our business partners. Position Responsibilities: Provide leadership and day to day direction to assigned client finance staff. Assures thoroughness, staff follow-through and empowers staff to make recommendations for improvements. Work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships with Administrators, Management Company finance personnel and CPA firms to assure the appropriate and timely month-end financial reporting on a consistent basis. Monitor all key financial cycles to assure adherence to appropriate procedures and generally accepted accounting principles. Oversees the preparation and submission of financial results, account analysis and work paper analysis. Work in conjunction with each assigned client area mgmt. company and CPAs to assist with other financial analysis, i.e., cash flow analysis, distributions, capital purchases, supply chain opportunities, salary analysis, etc. Monitor and assist with other necessary financial reporting by each center such as tax return filings, use/sales tax, and Assigned Client area taxes for accuracy and timely filing. Gather and provide financial information of all assigned client areas for presentation to Virtua's Senior Management, Virtua Board and committees, as needed. Coordinate with Virtua Corporate finance staff to assure accurate financial reporting of all areas and holding company for inclusion in Virtua's monthly consolidated financials. Complete quarterly consolidated reporting on financial results so it can be distributed to Senior mgmt. and partners. Assists and coordinate the yearly budgeting process for all centers to assure Virtua has the appropriate details for consolidation into the Virtua Budget. Assist Administrators with budget preparation and assist them to be prepared to present budgets to their Boards for approval. System Administrator for financial GL system in capturing all financial information related to all Virtua and to assure maximization and appropriate use of system to improve reporting requirements and workload. Assist with any due diligence work related to new opportunities for Virtua to expand its businesses. This may include numerous activities that involve review of submitted financial information, tax returns and other financial reports. Additionally, once an acquisition occurs there would need to be an appropriate level of contact and coordination with center, a mgmt. company or CPA firm to make a smooth transition to assure adequate and timely financial reporting occurs. Position Qualifications Required: Required Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management with supervisory experience in all aspects of finance/accounting. Should have day to day knowledge of all aspects of healthcare business office functions, financial statement reporting, and consolidated financial reporting along with knowledge of business entity structures experience is preferred. Must have excellent working knowledge of the healthcare industry have experience with understanding provider and insurer reimbursement at Assigned Area level. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and highly developed leadership skills. Evidence of public speaking and presentation skills are necessary. Must be a strategic thinker, be capable of building strong relationships, be a strong collaborator, and have excellent business development skills.Also, should demonstrate involvement with healthcare management professional groups. Required Education: Bachelor's degree with an advanced degree in Business (MBA) or CPA required. Pertinent professional experience recommended. |
