Here's what you'd do:

  • We are looking for a talented FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) design lead with industry.
  • We design, develop, and test advanced electronic warfare and multi-function systems.
  • Client development efforts include the whole lifecycle of designs from proposals, requirement definition, coding, simulation, synthesis, place and route, verification testing, and system support.
  • This position would focus on the FPGA design and leading FPGA design teams in coding, simulation, synthesis, place and route, and verification testing aspects.
  • We are looking for an engineer who enjoys challenging work with a team of talented engineers and can work well both with an interdisciplinary team and as an individual contributor.

Starting Pay: $80+ / hr.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in advanced signal processing techniques or Electronic Warfare techniques including Electronic Support and Electronic Attack.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx Vivado / ISE or Altera Quartus development tool sets.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in laboratory debug techniques using signal generators, digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in timing closure in large FPGAs.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in implementing Electronic Support or Attack signal processing.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in implementing complex Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms in FPGA devices.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in FPGA design on Digital Signal Processing designs.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in digital communications architectural design.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in implementing Electronic Warfare (EW) algorithms (either Electronic Sense (ES) or Electronic Attack (EA)) in FPGAs in systems with Electronically steered antennas.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in systems in high doppler effects.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in VHDL (or Verilog)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in FPGA Synthesis
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in FPGA Place and Route (PAR)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Expertise in either VHDL or Verilog hardware development languages.
  • Experience with timing closure in large FPGAs.
  • Experience with signal detection and identification.
  • Simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx Vivado / ISE or Altera Quartus development tool sets.
  • Laboratory debug techniques using signal generators, digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices.
  • Implementation of complex Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms in FPGA devices.
  • Implementation of signal processing techniques.
  • Generation of arbitrary waveform data files.
  • Familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git/Clearcase.
  • Familiarity with C/C++/C# and Matlab/Simulink.
