Nissha Medical Technologies is seeking a Value Stream Coordinator in Norwalk, OH! This position directly co-ordinates the manufacturing effort of multi-departmental value streams. The value streams shall contain any number of manufacturing departments that support the complete production of identified families of like final product and like functions. The effort shall be effected through subordinate team leaders and in concert with peers from the Quality, Materials and Engineering value stream team membership. The thrust of this effort shall be to produce consistent quality low cost products which meet or exceed customer expectation by addressing all production concerns utilizing Lean Enterprise techniques and the Six Sigma approach to problem solving.

Job Duties

  • Partner with Value Stream members to assure that departmental performance meets or exceeds budgeted goals (i.e., Schedule attainment, customer service, quality acceptance, scrap/material variances, labor efficiency, utilization, productivity, capacity analysis and expense control.)
  • Ensure that manufacturing comply with regulations, policies and procedure of the FDA, ISO, OSHA and Corporate directives.
  • Direct manufacturing workforce in compliance with local bargaining unit contract to assure safe, productive and participative work environment.
  • Identify and assist in resolution of chronic and major production issues that inhibit the smooth flow of operations.
  • Encourage continuous improvement in all phases of production and operations.
  • Assure clean and organized workplace utilizing 5S methods.
  • Communicate issues effectively to incorporate Lean strategies to improve manufacturing velocity, reduce waste and lower costs.


Supervisor Responsibilities


  • Direct employees in the manufacturing area.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviewing, hiring and training employees
  • Planning and assigning and directing work
  • Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Requirements

  • Four year degree from College or Technical School and two years related experience or five years of equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Familiar with Lean Enterprise, TPM, 5S and Six Sigma
