The Network Administrator is a member of the Network Operations team within the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) organization at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) and shares responsibility for the development, operation, and maintenance of UCR's network infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing wired/wireless networks, Zoom, installation and configuration of all network equipment (traditional network and telecom specific). The Network Administrator is tasked to determine ways to automate routine network tasks. They must maintain a high level of network-related expertise and a high level of awareness regarding any technology implemented within the university (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, cameras, Zoom, load balancing). The Network Administrator must work closely with all teams to ensure seamless delivery of infrastructure implementations. This position will act as front line support for the Network team, providing timely troubleshooting including diagnosis of incidents and problem resolution.

The full salary range for the Network Administrator is $81,500 - $150,100 annually. However, the pay scale for this position is up to $98,100 annually. UCR bases salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
