You Belong Here. Nursing Assistant-CNA-Emergency Dept. Full Time - Day - 40 hours The Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Emergency Services is a designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, regional Pediatric Trauma Center, Eye Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Cardiac Center for the state of Maryland. The Adult Emergency Department provides 24/7 comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients as well as trauma patients 15 years and older. The department consists of 76 treatment beds and handles more than 60,000 visits annually. A Nursing Assistant works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs delegated duties related to the comfort and personal needs of the patients. These activities may include ADL(s), nutritional support, patient mobility, vital signs, changing beds, replenishing room supplies and assisting healthcare team with specific treatments and/or procedures.
