Job Summary

Presents content and executes programs as conceived and developed by Chief of Education. Assists in the preparation of content, interpretative materials, and program logistics. Incorporates understanding of learning styles and pedagogy in development of presentations and lessons. Solicits and collects program assessments and evaluations. Prepares content for and conducts group tours, docent training, and gallery guide training.

  • Presents content and executes programs as conceived and developed by the program managers for K-12, University, Family, Youth, and Adult audiences, and participates in the preparation of content, interpretive materials, and program logistics. Interacts with Non-English speakers.
  • Assists with promoting the museum's educational programs and builds relationships with the community.
  • Incorporates understanding of learning styles and pedagogy in development of presentations and lessons for all audience types.
  • Assists with recruiting interns and handling logistics of the Frost Art Museum's internship and volunteer program.
  • Prepares content for, conducts, and schedules guided tours of temporary and permanent exhibitions, docent training, and gallery guide training.
  • Performs general administrative duties and department operations.
  • May supervise lower level staff or interns.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline and/or a combination of equivalent experience or training.
Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in education, museum, or the Arts preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish/Creole)
