Laboratory Technician - Internship

Description

This position will be responsible for performing small scale laboratory experiments, sample analysis and data collection from various software platforms. The intern will also be required to complete technical reports and presentations detailing the experiments/projects completed. In addition, there will be routine samples analysis related to process monitoring.

The intern will be exposed to the following:



  • Experimental design
  • Sample collection and preparation.
  • Analytical techniques (ex: HPLC, GC, UV-Vis)
  • Various large scale chemical purification techniques (crystallization, chromatography, liquid-liquid extractions, evaporation/condensation, etc.)



The intern will be expected to:



  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Technical Manager and Technical staff.
  • Complete all mandatory training related to the Chemical Lab Technician position.
  • Comply will all safety/PPE requirements for the site.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelors of Chemistry (preferred)
Bachelors of Chemical Engineering (preferred)
