About the role

The Medical Communications Senior Associate is responsible for directing and leading the writing and review of clinical study documents across the Nutrition clinical portfolio to include Clinical study protocols, protocol amendments, peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide presentations, final study reports, and procedural documents.

Your responsibilities

-Manage all publication related interactions with journal editorial boards and professional societies.

-Manage interactions with Reckitt librarian to research/obtain/track literature relevant to Medical Directors for Reckitt/ Mead Johnson Nutrition (MJN) Innovation Pipeline

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous development of the Nutrition clinical portfolio.

-Integrate marketing and regulatory needs from protocol development to manuscript publication.

-Responsible for protocol finalization for Nutrition clinical portfolio.

-Drive continuous improvement of protocol development to ensure consistency and quality across the Nutrition clinical portfolio.

-Coordinate communication of key findings from clinical studies to internal stakeholders.

-Track publication history for sponsored and investigator-initiated trials

-Lead the Document Review Committee (DRC)

-Track publications and abstract submissions for investigator-initiated trials

-Work with Clinical Study Managers to envelop and track publication timelines for all sponsored trials

-Hold regular publication planning meetings with medical directors and contribute to publication strategies.

-Lead team to drive final study report preparation across the clinical portfolio.

-Manage review cycles and coordinate revisions for multiple documents through approval by management

-Drive completion of documents according to project timelines.

-Lead the development of effective data presentations.

-Lead a collaboration of internal MJN team members and internal/external authors to develop publication-ready manuscripts for peer review.

-Direct and manage large writing projects for an entire clinical portfolio.

-Expertise with CONSORT, ICMJE and other industry standards and journal requirements

-Drive a team to ensure delivery on commitments to project milestones.

-Develop Power Point slides and decks to support key messaging internally and externally

The experience we're looking for

-Master's or PhD degree in a Medical Communications or Nutrition, Biology, or a related discipline or Medical Communications

-At least 5 years of professional medical/scientific writing experience.

-In depth understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Publication Practice (GPP).

-Proficient with EndNote, GraphPad, , Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point software, RightFind, EMBASE, PubMed, and other relevant literature search engines.

US salary ranges

USD$93,000.00- $139,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
