Purpose and Scope Under the direction of the Chief External Affairs Officer and Athletic Coordinator, the Head Women's and Men's Golf Coach is responsible for developing and continuing a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) program. This is a part-time position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruiting players.
- Conducting all practices of the golf teams.
- Coaching the team for all tournaments.
- Providing academic counseling and advisement for all team players.
- Preparing budgets related to the golf team.
- Scheduling all competitions for the golf team.
- Coordinating and planning all team travel.
- Securing personnel for all home tournaments.
- Recruiting volunteer assistants for the program.
- Coordinating with the Director of the ENMU-Ruidoso Foundation programmatic fundraising.
- Managing the golf team equipment and supplies.
- Assisting in supervision of housing of athletes.
- Coordinate with area golf courses to secure adequate practice facilities.
- Supervising student athletes.
- Working with appropriate staff to ensure eligibility of student athletes and maintaining standards set by the NJCAA.
- Assuming all responsibilities arising related to the golf team.
- Disciplining, as necessary, student athletes participating in golf.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
Associate's Degree. All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
Preferred:
Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Must have experienced collegiate competition as a coach or equivalent experience.
- Must have a thorough understanding of the collegiate scoring system and how it is managed for tournaments.
- Must possess personal skills to communicate and promote ENMU - Ruidoso golf program with the local community and organizations present on local courses.
- Must possess knowledge and understanding of the new and upcoming equipment available in the sport along with teaching techniques which promote ENMU - Ruidoso as a cutting-edge golf program.
- Applicant must be committed to excellence in coaching.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Must possess a valid New Mexico driver's license.
Complexity/Effort:
Ability to learn and apply campus policies and procedures; ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the College community and campus visitors; ability to gather and analyze data necessary for informed decisions involving the community, students, and employees. Skills in interpersonal communications are needed. Must have the ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position; to follow oral and written directions; to understand and follow safety procedures; to operate and use standard office equipment. Must be of good moral character with conduct consistent with the college and state code of conduct.
