Hitachi Energy is seeking a Controls Engineer in Jefferson City, MO. Hitachi Energy is a leading designer and manufacturer of distribution transformers for the electrical grid, commercial data centers, industrial facilities, and wind and solar alternative energy sources.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with and support Senior Controls Engineers with assorted Projects.

  • Assorted projects may be fully software or fully industrial hardware design or a combination.

  • Projects that will impact & reduce cost savings, scrap, rework and first past yield performance.

  • Project maybe in PC integration Design, Robotic Integration, Artificial Intelligence/Deep Learning, Assorted types of controls, create controls standard documentation, risk assessment documentation or Reverse Engineer and Redesign a System.

  • Participate in Risk Assessment Reviews

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

  • Required minimum 2 years of experience in Controls Engineering in design and development.

  • Required minimum 2 years of experience with C#, Python, Microsoft SQL, Linux, LabVIEW, and PC integration.

  • Preferred 1 years of experience in any robotics such as ABB Robots, Fanuc Robots and/or universal

  • Preferred 1 years of experience with Omron, Allen Bradly Rslinx and Siemens

  • Preferred understanding of NFPA 79, ISO 13849, ISO 61131-3, IEC 61508

  • Preferred 1 years of experience in vision systems.

  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

  • Preferred a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
