Job DescriptionABOUT THE ROLE This is an onsite internship in Kearney, MO for Summer 2025. The Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for documenting, improving, and supporting the manufacturing operations used in the production of vinyl siding. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role will be responsible for creating crucial training documentation (ex. Work Breakdown Instructions, Visual Standard Operating Procedures, Cycle Time Definitions, Quality Tools, ...). Additionally, the intern will work with several key department leaders to establish and implement business critical improvements (ex. 5S Zones / Standards / Routines / Audits, Visual Management Tools, labor reduction, output increases, equipment reliability, ...). Many of these improvements will be shared via live Microsoft Teams Conferences with other plants in our Surface Solutions Division (and potentially with all three Cornerstone Building Brands Divisions and corporate support locations).
