The Demand Planning Manager owns the Demand Plan for the Ascentek business - overseeing the Demand Planning Process and collaborating with the account and business development teams to analyze and fine-tune sales forecasts.

Additionally, the Demand Planning Manager will drive accountability throughout the organization by focusing on improving key metrics for forecasting. This role will ensure visibility throughout the organization of obstacles to meeting customer commitments and facilitate countermeasures to address gaps.

As a member of the supply chain leadership team, the Demand Planning Manager will also participate in strategic supply chain improvement initiatives and play a critical role in establishing a culture of continuous improvement.



  • Develops a monthly demand plan and supports the SIOP process to arrive at the Demand Consensus plan.
  • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns and subsequently implement solutions to improve the accuracy of demand forecasting.
  • Coordinates with supply planning team to monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Monthly reporting and analysis of actual Sales results against the Demand Consensus plan.
  • Facilitates development of the annual demand plan supporting the annual Business Plan.
  • Meet with functional area teammates spanning Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain, to review strategies related to both short- and long-term planning.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
  • Develops and supports continuous improvement of key forecasting KPIs.
  • Owns the Logility Demand Solutions planning tool.
  • Owns the Demand Planning process and documentation of the same.
  • Addresses demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Updates forecasts for new products, seasonal products, discounts, and promotions



Education

Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related fields.

Experience and/or Training



  • Minimum 5 years' experience in operations, supply chain management and/or demand management planning
  • Leadership capabilities in team engagement and change management.
  • A highly analytical individual with in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting policies. In addition, strong communication and stakeholder engagement are critical to success, which includes the ability to effectively partner and collaborate with those leading and working on the commercial side of the business i.e. sales, marketing, advertising, merchandising and related.
  • Understanding of business disciplines and financial information, particularly as it pertains to cash flow, margins, and profitability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of employees and management, both inside the company and external partners
  • Ability to identify and achieve "win/win" agreements. Utilizes a variety of techniques and approaches to influence others.
  • Experience in lean continuous improvement, problem-solving, use of 80/20 principles, and Traction EOS management systems.
  • A solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • The capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Logility, or other forecasting tools.
  • Experience with JDE or like ERP systems with an understanding of MRP supply/demand planning principles.
