Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve business objectives for the company's transportation and logistics services. The position requires a strong understanding of the industry, the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, and effective communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets

* Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

* Identify potential new business opportunities and develop plans to pursue them

* Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation of sales strategies

* Prepare and present sales proposals and negotiate contracts with customers

* Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular reports to management

* Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in market conditions

* Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote the company's services

Educational background / Work experience

* A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, logistics, or a related field is usually required. A master's degree in a related field may be preferred.

* A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the transportation and logistics industry is typically required for this position.

Skills & Competencies

* Strong sales skills and ability to close deals

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry trends and regulations

* Strong negotiation and contract management skills

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

* Proficiency in using sales and CRM software

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)


* The Sales Manager may be responsible for supervising a team of sales representatives.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in managing a sales team

* Experience with international sales and logistics

* Familiarity with lean management principles

Language skills

* Fluency in English is typically required, and knowledge of other languages may be preferred, depending on the company's customer base.

Computer Literacy

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales-related software, such as CRM tools, is required.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $66,000 - $99,000/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
