Responsibilities
- Collaborates with local leadership teams to create a culture of customer service, quality, integrity and accountability wherein employees are highly engaged and empowered to ensure clients are receiving superior treatment while in a safe and compassionate environment.
- Responsible for recruitment and staffing for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and places job postings; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; completes background and references checks as required, extends job offers, and conducts new-employee orientations.
- Administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel within designated areas of responsibility; assists in the development, communication and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Executes the performance management plans within the company to ensure that all employees receive timely feedback at the designated intervals i.e. 90 days and annual reviews.
- Responsible for setting up the HR day to day operations within a new location or in acquisition scenarios.
- Coordinates with Benefits Administrator to ensure that benefit information is communicated both timely and accurately.
- Collaborates with HR colleagues on various initiatives within the company.
- Ensures that all established training requirements are met for each employee.
- Serves as a point of contact for employees who wish to address their concerns regarding their employment and works with management to resolve. Collaborates with the Executive Director, the Regional Director, the CHRO and/or Insperity on internal investigations as warranted.
- Coaches and advises managers how to handle employee issues and ensures that all employees are treated fairly and consistently within the law. Recommends disciplinary action up to and including termination when necessary.
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports in compliance with all regulatory and licensing bodies.
- Completes all reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
- Participates in leadership and departmental staff meetings and attends other meetings as needed.
- Responsible for all accurately entering all new employees into the HRIS and for all changes made within the system throughout the employee's tenure with the company. Updates information timely and accurately and documents as needed for the employee file.
- Administers all workers compensation, Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), and leave of absence information to in a timely manner.
- Responsible for compliance with all wage and hour practices. Reviews, corrects as needed, and approves all timekeeping records prior to submitting them for payroll purposes.
Qualifications
- Seven (7) + years of human resources generalist experience.
- PHR or Human Resources Certificate preferred.
- Experience in the health care industry and/or residential treatment field preferred.
- Subject matter expert on federal and state specific employment and wage and hour law.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Joint Commission and state regulatory requirements as it relates to Human Resources.
