Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI), is a leading not-for-profit organization providing healing, justice and wholeness to people and communities. For over 150 years, LSSI has made a difference in the lives of children and families, and we're still a strong, viable presence in the State of Illinois, continuing that commitment to making a difference. Lutheran Social Services of Illinois' Project IMPACT is a program located in the Emergency Rooms of Methodist hospitals on Chicago's Northside. Trained Counselors assist adults and children who are experiencing a behavioral/psychiatric or addiction crisis, whether by walk-in, by other referral source. When an individual comes to the ER with a behavioral/psychiatric or addiction crisis, the ER staff will notify Project IMPACT. Then an IMPACT Crisis Counselor assesses the individual, consults with ER Medical Staff, and provides services from Hospitalization to Out-Patient referral. Under the general supervision of the Associate executive director and Supervisor will provide direction, coordination, and supervision to regional clinical supervisors within the network and provides clinical consultation and practice model development for welcoming Center therapeutic services within state mandates, COA standards, agency policies, and program plans.
