Job Summary |
The Department of Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a Research Assistant position to provide professional level assistance with ongoing research programs.
This is a three year limited term appointment. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.

Essential Functions |
Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist researchers with developing data collection protocols and maintaining sensors at various locations at Auburn University, poultry industries, and forest products industries.
- Fabricate, assemble, calibrate, troubleshoot, install and operate specialized and prototype equipment such as sensors and instrumentation when applicable.
- Analyze data from sensors installed on multiple equipment and buildings.
- Conduct on-sites visits to manage sensors and relationships between Auburn University Rural Partnership Initiative project and collaborative industries.
- Assist with implementation of the Ag Technology Certificate program.
- Assist project manager with implementation of a NIFA funded project.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Level I: Bachelor's degree in any
STEM discipline.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, demonstrated technical excellence, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. |
Minimum Technology Skills |
Knowledge of software and ability to interpret output/results of data sets. |

Valid driver's license required. |
