Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is seeking part-time, temporary faculty members. These are fixed term appointments at the title of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor.
The mission of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology encompasses the triad of academic medicine: leadership in patient care, teaching of medical students and resident physicians, and pursuit of clinical and basic science research.
Job Duties
The physicians hired will participate in all areas of patient care and teaching provided by the division. Job highlights include:
Employment by East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine
Hospital privileges at ECU Health, a 974 bed Level 1 Trauma Center with a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
A referral network including a 29-county area with a population of 1.4 million people
Active involvement in the teaching of medical students and residents, multidisciplinary teams providing clinical care.
Minimum Education/Experience
Candidates must be Board certified/active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
MD or DO degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
Candidates must be Board certified/active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
MD or DO degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
NC Medical License
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
License or Certification Required by the Department
