Position Responsibilities


  • You will be the Finance Lead for the Engineering and Cloud organizations managing a team of analysts to optimize business performance
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing cost structures, including infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and software-as-a-service (SaaS).
  • Experience in cost optimization, ROI analysis, and scenario modeling related to cloud operations.
  • In-depth understanding of the cloud operations business model, including revenue recognition, cost management, and capital expenditures.
  • Ability to partner with Cloud Ops leadership to provide strategic financial guidance, including long-term financial planning, investment analysis, and risk management.
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting and month end accrual processes and deliverables for this function.
  • Partnering with business to ensure accuracy for spend, headcount, and other key metrics based on operational performance.
  • Leading thoughtful analysis, proactively evaluating key drivers and metrics, and partnering on driving operational efficiencies and performance
  • Collaborating with the accounting team on accruals and other elements of the close process
  • Evolving these processes, as needed
  • Partner with the Finance and Cloud leadership on forecasting and monitoring key spend areas to assist in optimizing margins and unit economics.
  • Assist with and manage ad hoc projects to support senior management and business decisions.
  • Lead process and systems improvement and scaling projects for your area and partner on cross functional teams, to drive the company's continued growth and scaling.

Qualifications


  • Strong academics, with a Bachelor's degree in an finance or accounting subject and/or advanced degree
  • Strong Excel skills - ability to model data and tell stories about the impacts and implications of the model
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Knowledge of the cloud/software industry
  • Experience building and leading a team
  • Experience working with large data sets. BI tool development or data visualization experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness, with the ability to influence and challenge
  • Ability to communicate, influence, and form solid working relationships at the executive-level. Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast paced environment, and be comfortable with ambiguity
  • Highly analytical and curious in solving business challenges
  • Be ready & willing to challenge the status quo for a better future
  • Detail orientated but able to see the bigger picture through cross functional collaboration

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $79500.00 - $119250.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
