As a Supervisor, Export Cross Dock, supporting our Supply Chain Distribution Team, you will be trusted to supervising employees assigned to various export distribution jobs such as shipping and receiving, inventory control, picking and packaging, storage, SAP WM system testing and training of end users at Fort Worth, Texas, US.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Plan, direct, and implement warehouse operations to ensure scheduling of all export distribution services including receiving, crossdocking, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, pick, pack, inspect, inventory, maintenance, and administrative activities meet customer expectations in an efficient and quality manner
  • Participate in SAP warehouse management system testing, implementation & training of end users
  • Ensure the accurate, timely, and quality shipment of orders, and finished good orders to Pharmaceutical/Consumer customer.
  • Management and execution of key employee programs including performance management and compensation, employee development, training , coaching and counseling, talent Acquisition.
  • Track CAPEX and distribution/warehouse projects (e.g., major process changes; startup of new products/equipment), activities, identify problems, and initiate corrective actions, including deployment of available resources.
  • Communicate priorities, schedules, and export distribution strategy that aligns with Global Transportation strategic direction.
  • Ensure finished good orders to Affiliates are routed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Proficient in the use of the key logistics operating systems and technology to effectively coordinate the day to day operations.
  • Ensure employees (and self) are operating with heightened focus on quality and compliance along with strict adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Leads safety programs, and is responsible for ensuring employees adhere to safety policies/procedures by keeping work areas clean/free of hazards or dangerous conditions, operate in a safe manner (zero lost time accidents), and in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Involves the use of hand trucks, forklifts, heavy equipment, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.
  • Due to fluctuating market and business needs, it may be necessary to work late and on weekends
  • Analyzes and resolves technical issues and/or systemic needs/challenges, and generates reports in a timely manner.
  • Conduct effective and timely investigations with root cause analysis, risk assessment, and CAPA action plans for continuous improvement in lead-time, quality, and cost improvements.
  • Plan and schedule work activities for a department in accordance with production schedule, and shifting priorities
  • Leads others, share knowledge and experience with coworkers, and develop the team's overall capability
  • Advise others and solves quality issues during assembly, order processing, transfer, and receiving processes.
  • Identify and resolve Customer Service issues with orders/returns
  • Maintain effective communications with various functions (Customer Service, Planning, Production) and coordination lines with our customers to resolve our customer problems with production and orders/returns.



WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • Work hours: Monday through Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%
