Job Summary:
|
Laboratory-based translational research on CAR T cell therapy to treat chronic GvHD in murine models and CAR T cell therapy to treat murine solid tumors. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and perform experiments, trouble shoot, assist others in the lab, make figures, interpret data, present data, assist in manuscript preparation and train other members of the laboratory
- Clone genes in plasmid constructs
- Flow Cytometry and single cell RNA sequencing and bulk sequencing
- Perform immunohistochemistry

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- PhD in biology, chemistry or physics
- A combination of education and related professional experience may be substituted for the PhD degree on a year for year basis.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience of working in a research laboratory that is not class-based.
- Proficiency in murine animal husbandry including ear tagging, organ removal and injections IV and IP
- Understanding the principles of flow cytometry and ability to perform 4 color flow
- Proficiency at pipetting and sterile tissue culture technique
- Proficiency at laboratory-based calculations including converting units of measurement (micro liters to milliliters etc.)
- Proficiency in establishing chronic graft-versus-host disease murine models of the skin and lungs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multicolor flow cytometry proficiency
- Murine model expert, ability to lead in this aspect and train others.
- Previous experience in presenting and/or aiding in publication writing
- Competency with flowjo, Microsoft office, prism graphpad, and analysis software(s).
- Previous Immunohistochemistry experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communications
- Ability to stay organized and complete tasks under pressure
- Knowledgeable of professional laboratory protocols
- Ability to complete lab functions involving cell culture and aseptic techniques
- Competency with molecular biology techniques
- Animal experience (designing/mouse handling/injections/harvesting/sacrificing)
- Background in immunology/wiliness to learn
- Ability to troubleshoot and independently resolve technical issues with experiments
- Works well with others and is a team player

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting hiring range for this position has been established at $61,000 - $85,000. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
