Description

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Lead Technician to join our integration business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Install headend equipment, all field devices and basic programming for a variety of Nurse Call, RTLS, Fire Alarm and Security. Layout the system and install the cable as well as testing connectors, labeling and firestop. Assure that the equipment provides the service requested by the customer, ensuring the documentation and databases are updated
  • Coordinate and oversees contracted work with the contractor, providing specific instructions and or help on projects, inspecting completed work for acceptance and compliance with Pavion standards, and ensuring that the network documentation is updated.
  • Analyze and layout blueprints, schematics, and drawings of Pavion systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems
  • Provide technical expertise for installation, repair, and service
  • Inform Project Manager regarding procedures and or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and or complying with company policies and building codes
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of the Installers. Ensures that projects are completed within local, state, federal codes, regulations, and specifications
  • Participates in approved job-related training and development programs. Participates in equipment training and receives certification, and operates equipment as needed
  • Maintains assigned vehicles and equipment in excellent condition. Ensures availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and or repair
  • Responds to service calls during normal workday hours and after hours. Addresses immediate safety concerns
  • Ensure safety procedures are always followed
  • Updates & maintains documentation (Time Web, daily worksheets & all other paperwork)
  • Establishes effective working relationships with those contacted during work, and communicate clearly, and effectively both orally and in writing
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines and works effectively with minimum supervision
  • Ensure quality control for assigned task
  • Clean up work area daily


Basic Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience or training on manufacturer systems installations; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of hand tools, test/set up equipment and company machinery. Demonstrate ability to train others in use
  • Knowledge of electrical circuitry, network principles, NEC and fire codes. Read/understand technical drawings, programming and installation guides
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients, management and peers
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • Security system certifications
  • Experience with Fire Alarm and Nurse Call
