Summary: Responsible for planning and operation of equipment and systems in support of meeting safety, profitability, cost and production goals

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Will manage Manufacturing Supervisors; 4 Supervisors, and 100+ hourly production operators
  • Responsible for working with Director of Operations, Production Control Manager/Supervisor, and Controller in establishing monthly and quarterly performance goals.
  • Responsible for allocating resources, assessing annual performance in support of company goals.
  • Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
  • Sets expectations, provides recourses, audits performance, counsels employees, trains and sets policy and practices to exceed department goals.
  • Leads team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals.
  • Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Ensures operations metrics are well known, track daily progress towards achieving objectives and mitigating risks.
  • Works with managers across all functional lines to accomplish organizational objectives.
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
  • Actively participates in the implementation and sustaining ABS (Lean Manufacturing) principle and practices.
  • Demonstrates continual focus on improvements and enhancements.
  • Exhibits and promotes behaviors on the plant floor that leads to an engaged work force.
  • Implements company policies such as attendance, overtime, safety, environmental, etc., and directs the application of such policies to the product group's operation.
  • Assesses employee performance and mentors staff.


Skills:



  • Excellent interpersonal, written, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills; able to lead, coach and mentor employees
  • Proficient computer skills including Excel spreadsheets and graphs.
  • Strong customer service skills

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution
  • Minimum 7 years of Aerospace Manufacturing Operations experience
  • Minimum of 2 years as a demonstrated operations leader
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prefer the Bachelor's Degree emphasis is in Engineering or Business specialization
  • Experience working in a complex manufacturing facility preferred
  • Experience in the Fastener manufacturing industry preferred
  • Experience managing 50+ people preferred
  • Experience with TPS/ Continuous Improvement/ Lean Manufacturing principles and programs preferred



Benefits/Salary:

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $109,000 to $160,000.
