Molex is looking for a Software Engineer in our Optical Test group. Molex is a global leader in electronic and optical solutions, providing innovative connectivity solutions for various industries and data center interconnections. As a Test Engineer in our Optical Solutions division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our cutting-edge high-speed optical transceivers.

What You Will Do

* Develop and maintain software for optical test systems using LabVIEW and/or Python
* Design and implement optical transceiver test procedures in connection with production tests
* Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop optical test strategies and optimize yields/throughput
* Analyze test date and provide detailed reports to stakeholders for production test enhancements
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with excellent code and system debugging skills
* Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in fiber optics, manufacturing, and automation

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field
* Proven experience with LabVIEW and Python programming.
* Deep understanding of fiber optics and optical transceivers with hands on testing experiences
* Experience with optical test equipment such as OSA, BERT, and Optical Power Measurements
* Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills for close collaboration with team

What Will Put You Ahead

* Advanced degree- Master's or PhD
* Certification for CLAD/CLD

For this role, we anticipate paying $150,000 - $180,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
