Keysight Technologies, the world's premier measurement company, has an opening for an R&D Semiconductor Device Engineer. This position is within the High Frequency Technology Center at our headquarters in Santa Rosa, California. Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and coastline while working on state-of-the-art ICs and devices. HFTC is part of Keysight Labs, the core R&D organization that enables Keysight's Centers of Excellence, Industry Solutions Teams and Technology Manufacturing Centers to provide RF, microwave, mmWave, 5G and 6G Test and Measurement solutions to customers in the communications, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, general electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries. The focus of the Device Engineer position is the development and sustaining of cutting-edge micro- and nano-fabrication technologies for high-performance microwave and millimeter-wave applications. These technologies include InP and GaAs-based HBT, HEMT, and other electronic components which define the key competitive performance that enables industry-leading RF, microwave and high-bit rate instruments. Learn more about what we do. Responsibilities Project objectives will encompass performance, reliability and manufacturing goals. The Device Engineer will also be responsible for assuring successful transfer and maintenance of new technologies in manufacturing. The work contributes meaningfully to the manufacture of the compound semiconductor IC's driving Keysight's multi-billion-dollar electronic test and measurement business. This is a hands-on engineering role bridging technology and process engineering. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
