As our new Electrical CAD Designer, you will be part of our Engineering Department, consisting of a multi-discipline design/engineering staff focused on the industrial manufacturing market. You will work closely with Lead Electrical Engineers focusing on engineering solutions for our clients and supporting projects in Ramboll offices across the US. Your responsibility will be supporting electrical engineering designs for our projects over the total project life cycle from initial CAD model setup, utilizing Ramboll and client drawing standards, to record drawings and project file handover to clients.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Completing drawings within project budgets and schedules
  • Refine, improve, establish CAD standards and best practices
  • Familiarizing and apply Ramboll and client CAD standards
  • Set up 3D models and title blocks in conjunction with other engineering disciplines
  • Develop workflows as well as CAD families/libraries for future project efficiency
  • Self-manage project time allocation and communicate current and expected workloads
  • Estimate hours for CAD coordination and project setup to aid in proposals



Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Pre-Engineering (or equivalent) and 3-5 years of relevant experience in CAD design.
  • Preferred experience with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience working with electrical single lines, motor elementary drawings, instrumentation wiring diagrams, and control panel drawings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • ~5% travel, valid driver's license required
