You will recruit and manage expert contributors across legal practice areas and industry topics, and collaborate with teams to commission, review, and publish content supporting organizational roadmaps and customer needs. You will support use of outside contributors and production of digital, customer-first content through scalable, transparent processes. You will build visibility of contributor and product benefits in the legal marketplace and develop partnerships with outside organizations to create new content and marketing opportunities.
What you will do:
Acquire, edit, and publish legal, regulatory, and business content in partnership with outside authors, partner organizations, and team members across the organization
Develop and maintain relationships with legal experts and professional organizations to enhance platform content and encourage repeat submissions
Collaborate across teams, develop and maintain productive working relationships, and communicate team initiatives and standards in small and large group settings
Develop content for digital readers, including effective headline writing, source-checking, production consistency, and general integration of short- and long-form content.
Deploy effective tactics to promote and market authors, organizations, and content on social media and other platforms.
Creatively problem-solve, use and improve an evolving suite of project management, presentation, and collaboration tools.
Work independently, plan, organize, set priorities, and advance multiple projects simultaneously.
Make decisions that require substantial interpretation of established policies and procedures, clear objectives, and business/professional standards.
You need to have:
Bachelor's degree
3 years of progressively responsible publishing experience, with responsibility for various editorial, acquisitions, and/or marketing functions
Demonstrated success in author acquisition, content publishing, marketing, and project management.
Advanced editing and publishing skills and deep knowledge of digital content management.
An ability to present information in a concise, organized, descriptive, and professional manner, and to communicate, negotiate, advise, persuade, or resolve complex and/or sensitive issues.
Legal publishing experience and/or J.D. a plus.
