Our two campuses are located approximately a mile apart in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving Grades K-5 on our Goodrich Campus and Grades 6-12 on our Randolph Campus. Position Begins: August 2023 Position Description: St. Paul Academy and Summit School is seeking an art teacher to teach art to elementary-aged students at its Goodrich Campus. This is a part-time position that begins in August 2023. This position is currently a .74 appointment, with the potential to become full-time in the future. Candidates should have experience teaching elementary art and should be able to work proficiently with a variety of media including drawing, painting, printmaking, and ceramic sculpture with a working knowledge of firing an electric kiln. A willingness and ability to collaborate with colleagues on special interdisciplinary projects and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate excellence in and a love for teaching young children, have had Responsive Classroom training, have a passion for personal expression, and actively participate in the arts. Candidates are expected to support the mission of SPA and the vision of the Lower School, as well as to contribute to the school outside the classroom.
