Job Summary:



Join the Colorado School of Public Health as an Education Coordinator. This position is a key member of the school's Center for Global Health (CGH) and will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of educational and scholarship programs, projects, events, and administrative operations for the unit. The Education Coordinator will play a major role in proactively anticipating issues/problems to assist the Director and Administrator in decision-making processes.

This position will help coordinate external communications and social media accounts, act as lead writer for the unit's bi-monthly newsletter, and assist with complex educational activities, including the online learning platform.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide full cycle event planning and support for the Center, including logistics, resources, risk/compliance, accessibility, etc.
  • Support Global Health fellows in the Global Health Fellowship Program (e.g. send progress report reminders, coordinate meetings, collect and route new applicant information).
  • Organize logistics for the Global Health Monthly Lecture Series (e.g. create and share flyers, invites, promotional/marketing materials; record sessions on Zoom; coordinate room reservations).
  • Facilitate CGH training events by planning meetings, preparing logistics, acquiring and distributing learning materials, and overseeing the evaluation process.
  • Under the direction of the Assistant Director and Center Director, coordinate outreach and consulting efforts with sponsors/funders; oversee advertising efforts for ongoing scholarship opportunities.
  • Facilitate and support pediatric global activities through project management, funding oversight, and cross-campus collaboration.
  • Act as main point of contact within CGH for inquiries, triaging requests, social media accounts, and website updates.


This is a full-time position and reports to the Assistant Director.



Work Location:



Hybrid - This role requires full-time onsite presence with a hybrid schedule. This position is located on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO and is eligible to work a hybrid schedule with at least two days of the week that can be worked from home.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:



  • A bachelor's in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.




Conditions of Employment:



  • Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must possess a personal vehicle or driver's license, to transport event supplies to off-site events and/or drive a university vehicle.
  • In support of events, this role will need to be able to walk and stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb ladders.
  • Must be willing and able to work after hours and/or on the weekend on occasion.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working in non-profit or start-up organizations on public health community-based projects.
  • Experience with data management software, and/or content management systems.
  • Experience with social media, web site build-up and maintenance.
  • Experience in advocacy work and outreach.


Competencies:



  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Educational planning and organization skills and ability to take the initiative to solve problems.
  • Self-starter, with examples of successful and failed projects.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting target salary for this position has been established as $48,300 - $52,000.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
