Your Day-to-Day:



  • Lead the GIC nuclear instrumentation (NI) engineering teams to successfully deliver on platform management, engineering capability development and project support
  • Responsible for the effective operations of the nuclear instrumentation engineering team, and ensure standards of quality (including effective management of the corrective action program), cost (including utilization of resources to meet assigned targets), safety (both ensuring a NSC as well as personnel and Industrial safety), reliability, timeliness and performance are met in engineering processes.
  • Primary technical interface between Westinghouse I&C projects and nuclear instrumentation technologies. Prepare and successfully identify needed training and development plans for NI team with emphasis on long-term resource needs. Focus on identifying & targeting engineering skills to ensure an added value to the customer.
  • Supervise I&C product and platform management skills in organization to ensure "bench strength" and succession planning. Continually scans the environment to verify products, services and design processes are adding value to both the customer and Westinghouse.
  • Develop innovative solutions to create customer value in collaboration with appropriate Westinghouse organizations.
  • Identify and supervise NI engineering team to ensure adequate resources for each project need, from the technical offer phase to the end of execution.
  • Review, challenge & commit on the as-sold version of NI engineering allocated hours required to perform engineering scope of work
  • Supervise the NI engineering team with a strategic focus, communicate vision for future and promote team culture that aligns with Westinghouse goals. Develop culture that values a safety conscious work environment, technical excellence, personalized customer service and human performance fundamentals.
  • Orchestrate and continuously improve cost efficient product delivery which meets or exceeds business plan objectives
  • Drive technology continuous improvement and standardization



Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:




  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of leadership with instrumentation & control experience
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge in one or more areas of specialization.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead the engineering of customer- oriented solutions which directly support Company's profitability goals.
  • Demonstrated successful offer development skills in effectively estimating, planning and executing significantly complex projects/programs
  • Strong communication skills and a proven history of effectively leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and interfacing with multiple functional groups.
  • Demonstrate clear, crisp communication (including commitment to documentation of key customer/commercial decisions and effective communication of industry interactions).
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee engineering activities and opportunity management, conveying feedback on customer satisfaction, needs and opportunities.
  • Continually scans the environment to verify products and services are adding value to both the customer and Westinghouse.
  • Demonstrates business skills, including consideration of financial impact when making decisions.
  • Consistent demonstration of driving for results.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally, as well as upstream and downstream, to create alignment and ensure work is done right the first time.
  • Build consultative relationships with internal and external stakeholders: operations, maintenance and engineering decision-makers to enhance Westinghouse's position as premier value-added I&C supplier.
  • Persuasive ability to get stakeholders to cooperate or take action.
  • Applies comprehensive engineering knowledge to lead through complex and difficult technical challenges.
