The Opportunity

The Senior Market Development Manager works with clients to identify needs and develop comprehensive solutions. This role focuses on business growth within the power and/or renewable markets. This position will have a specific focus on innovate client solutions that meet today's needs as well as the next generation of solutions that will meet the market and client's evolving needs. This person must value collaboration and be a strong collaborator within Ulteig, within the industry, with strategic partners and with clients. This person must be curious, a strong critical thinker as well as be solution minded bringing together resources, partners and technology. This role will report to the Market Director of the Renewables Lifeline Sector.

What You'll Do



  • Develop and execute territory and sales/account plans that deliver sales results and client satisfaction.
  • Listen to clients, addresses today's challenges and evolving needs with compelling, comprehensive solutions
  • Invest in and have a keen awareness of developing consultative and engineering technologies and solutions
  • Engage with the industry and with clients to effectively represent Ulteig, enhance Ulteig's reputation and build high impact and influential relationships with new and current clients
  • Identify, develop and convert opportunities with new and existing clients within the power and renewable markets
  • Develop and execute territory and business development plans based on client immediate and long-term challenges and needs
  • Partner internally on key, complex projects and as needed, provides key project oversight
  • Lead through influence across the organization working closely with finance, technical, field and market development team members
  • Partner across the organization (Client Solutions, Marketing, Proposals, Project Management, Engineering/Operations, Finance, Legal) to pursue, propose and win business


What We Expect From You



  • Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Construction Management, Business or Finance degree preferred.
  • MBA Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, client management, engineering and/or renewable project development required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy development for a large, utility-scale developer or IPP highly preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish highly preferred
  • Experience in renewable development with studies, interconnection and environmental highly preferred
  • Proven experience in effective proposal development
  • Strong business acumen: strategic partnerships, innovation, project management, proposals, business development and consulting engineering
  • Strong reputation in the power and/or renewable markets, speaking and thought leadership experience at industry events and solid working relationships with clients
  • Demonstrated business development results and success
  • Highly motivated and results driven
  • Demonstrates ability to influence and collaborate with individuals at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with current and potential clients and internal colleagues
  • Possesses well-rounded knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures of associated industries
  • Demonstrates excellent facilitation presentation, verbal/written communications, time-management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to be organized, work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $148,800 - $201,300
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
