Job Summary

The Donor Relations department is currently seeking a student to join their team of professionals.
Duties to include:

  • Holiday/birthday/special recognition communication distribution
    • Pull/ clean list
    • Cross reference list with NXT
    • Research for missing addresses and birth dates
    • Monitor DRS email account for donor responses donorsr@fiuedu
    • Stuff and distribute cards
  • IEPs (currently supporting creation of this tool and will support execution in future)
    • Data population and updating
    • Tracking
    • Auditing
    • Support unit roundtables with calendaring and document updates
  • Naming opportunity Support
    • Naming Approval form tracking
    • GA confirmation
    • RE Attribute and Note entry
    • Updating process
  • New Opportunity inventory
    • Documentation and implementation support
    • Data integration into GiftMap
    • Training and adoption of Gift Map by units
    • Tech trouble shooting
  • Event planning and execution
    • Printing labels, stuffing and mailing invitations
    • Assignment of follow up phone calls to encourage RSVP's
    • RE data entry support
    • Registration staffing and support
    • Update DRS team calendars with upcoming events
    • Monitor DRS email account for donor responses/inquiries
    • Uploading event pictures to DRS Flickr account
  • Digital Acknowledgement Notecards - FIUStrong, Alumni Giving, first time donor, tribute
    • Research and support a new process using NXT / Lists/ Workflow to launch these communications
    • Quarterly updated template (with Writing team)
    • Pull data, clean list
    • Merge into appropriate template
    • RE action entry
    • Execute mail send
  • Ad hoc departmental project support

  • Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
  • Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
  • Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
