About the Role:
As an Analytics and Power BI Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic Operational Excellence team which drives measurable improvements throughout the Engineering organization. The primary responsibility for this role is to understand customer needs, determine appropriate data requirements, find, evaluate, prioritize and implement solutions that provide measurable data driven improvements. The Engineer will be expected to use tools including but not limited to databases, various analytics tools, Excel, and Power BI at a minimum.

Position Responsibilities:
- Create and test data models that will ensure data accuracy in dashboard reporting, providing organizational insights and process trends
- Leverage and utilize the internal business systems and associated data to support business needs.
- Maintain the current suite of Engineering dashboards.
- Ability to investigate and resolve the data delivery for the Power BI dashboards including, resolution of data source issues, Power BI data refresh issues, Power BI server and report refresh issues, as required.
- Support of and understanding of data security and data governance policies (CUI)
- Lead and facilitate cross functional teams to coordinate the implementation of comprehensive automation/improvement initiatives. Interface with IT/Security as required to identify, understand and resolve planned as well as unplanned technical challenges.
- Determine data needs, clean and filter data for various analysis requests.
- Conduct requirements analysis with report consumers/stakeholders on dashboard visualizations and determine data sources to architect the data model that provides the required business need.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in data Analytics or other Engineering degree supplemented with appropriate experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience
- Proficiency in business intelligence analytics: development and tools for data analytics, Power BI, data modeling, DAX Query, and data cleaning.
- Must be willing to work in an office, lab, proto-type and test site environments.
- Be a self-starter and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work overtime when required
