Intellectual Property Litigation Associate - Chicago, New York, or Washington, DC

Steptoe LLP seeks an associate with 2 to 4 years of experience in patent and/or trade secret litigation to join the Firm's IP practice group in its, Chicago, New York or DC office.

Admission to the DC, Illinois or New York Bar is required, as is an undergraduate degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or substantially similar. Registration to practice before the USPTO is strongly preferred. An advanced science or technical degree, industry experience, and computer programming skills are pluses.

Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of technical analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. We are looking for candidates who can and want to assume immediate responsibility and who are willing to work on high-stakes cases as an integral part of a collaborative team.

We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment that offers training and mentorship. The anticipated salary range is $235,000 to $310,000, depending on qualifications and other factors.
