Department:Research, Innovation & Economic DevelopmentDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The successful candidate is expected to be competent in one or more of the following research tasks: (1) Design devices using advanced simulation technique (2) Characterize materials using various techniques as XRD, TEM, Raman, PL, FTIR, etc. (3) Fabricate device using E-beam lithography and (4) Characterize device including passive device testing and RF measurements for high-speed devices (5) Quantum materials science with applications in hi-bandwidth technology development. Other duties for the position include working with and providing guidance to graduate and undergraduate students, writing technical grant reports, papers, and helping in gathering information for proposal writing. Qualifications:a) A Ph.D. in one of the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or any related discipline. b) Demonstrated research experience in at least one of the competency areas listed in the above position description. c) Experience in research proposal writing and a record of publications in technical journals. d) Hands-on experience in high-speed and RF measurements is preferable.
