The Program Support Specialist provides administrative support for the FGCU R.I.S.E. (Real Independence, Successful Employment) program. Assists with administrative operations, data entry, and supports grant administration and compliance.

Job Description Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Provides administrative support to include maintaining schedule/calendar, scheduling appointments, screening telephone communication, responding to emails, greeting and directing visitors, and resolving administrative problems and inquiries.
- Assists with the administrative oversight of grant related activities through budget monitoring, record keeping, deadline oversight, and report completion.
- Completes transfer requests, reconciles expenditure transactions, creates travel authorization requests, maintains accounting records, and other transactional duties related to award administration.
- Fulfills purchasing requirements for assigned area including researching items and obtaining price quotes, ordering supplies, entering information into university systems, receiving purchase orders, maintaining P-Card information, and reconciling purchases.
- Composes and prepares written documents and correspondence including reports, surveys, memos, meeting materials, letters, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Creates and maintains systems for administration of records for the area, including electronic files, records, and databases.
- Updates and maintains unit website and social media accounts.
- Provides administrative support for the hiring of OPS and student employees to assist with post award work and projects.
Other Duties:
- May collaborate with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs to ensure compliance and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description Required Qualifications:
- This position requires a high school diploma and two years of full-time experience directly related to the position.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
- Experience with intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Experience with Workday.
