A Week in the life of a Project Manager/Task Lead:



  • Lead teams supporting budget execution, financial management, and business management
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for financial, budget, and business management
  • Present findings, reports, and presentations to executive-level staff
  • Gather information and performance data for monthly deliverables
  • Assist in knowledge management capture and transfer
  • Manage a team's workload to meet deadlines and deliverables
  • Prioritize and complete tasks as needed while also balancing long-term projects and initiatives
  • Provide expertise in the Navy PPBE and POM Development process
  • Assist in developing position descriptions and recruiting for open positions on their task team
  • Review and prepare major deliverables for contract staff
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices for improving team processes and methodologies.

Job Requirements

  • Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting


At least 10+ years relevant experience in:



  • Navy Financial Management (FM)
  • SME-level experience in Budgeting, Briefing, and Defense at the Chief of Naval Operations and Congressional levels
  • Communication and Briefing Skills at the SES/Flag Level

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $135,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. AMERICAN SYSTEMS provides for the welfare of its employees and their dependents through a comprehensive benefits program by offering healthcare benefits, paid leave, retirement plans (including ESOP and 401k), insurance programs, and education and training assistance.
