A week in the life of an Aerospace Engineer:



  • Perform aerospace engineering in support of flight control system development; aircraft modeling and simulation; analysis of aircraft flight dynamics; and ground and flight test support.
  • The technical tasks will include:

    • Supporting the design, development, integration, and test of aircraft flight control systems and autopilots
    • Developing, integrating, and validating models of aircraft flight dynamics and subsystems such as payloads, engines, transmissions, flight control components, and sensors
    • Supporting lab, ground, and flight qualification testing of aircraft avionics, sensors, and flight control systems



Job Requirements

  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance after hiring. US Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor of Sciencedegree in Aerospace Engineering
  • 1-2 years' professional experience related to Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with MATLAB and MATLAB scripting
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills are essential for this position.
  • Must have a good knowledge of sound engineering practices that may include such areas as requirement tracking, configuration control, technical communication, and/or the peer review process

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is$75,000-$95,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
