Our team in San Diego, CA is looking for candidates with expertise in P-3/P-8 Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Aircraft tactics to join our team!

A week in the life of the Navy P-8/P-8 Maritime Patrol Expert includes:



  • Furnish Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) tactics and employment expertise in support of Fleet Synthetic Training - Aviation (FST-A) events to the NADTC, TTGP, and AIRPAC
  • Develop MPRA aspects of training scenarios
  • Utilize the latest doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures for P-3/P-8 aircraft employment and integration
  • Create, test, and employ Modeling and Simulation (M&S) playfiles for events, role-play aviation platforms, ships, and staffs for events
  • Provide feedback to event instructors with regard to the M&S playfiles
  • Liaise with MPRA and other squadrons, wings, and Navy warfare centers of excellence on NADTC capabilities and other developments in distributed aviation training
  • There will be approximately 10% travel

Job Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • High School and fourteen (14) years or more of related experience; or
  • Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; or
  • Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; or
  • PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience


At least 10 years experience in:



  • Planning, briefing, executing and debriefing MPRA aircraft missions.
  • Knowledge of aircraft tactical employment as part of a larger force.
  • Expertise in aircraft systems usage and integration.
  • Developing aviation training scenarios based on training objectives
  • Operating and employing aviation simulators for training
  • Operating warfare training M&S systems, such as simulator IOS consoles and systems

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $125,000- $140,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
