Job Overview
The CEG Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for researching, designing, documenting, purchasing, and installing, controls systems for manufacturing and facility equipment across the Marvin family of brands. This role involves close collaboration with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, systems, and facility personnel to design, implement, and support the needs related to automated manufacturing controls systems. Additionally, the Controls Engineer will work closely with vendors, suppliers, engineers, and project teams to facilitate the introduction of new equipment, technologies, and products to the production floor.

May provide supervision
- Responsible for leading the controls team through project of all sizes/scopes through the stages of the controls engineering process
- Test and evaluate systems to ensure they meet operational and safety standards
- Empower individual team members to maintain ownership of their assigned tasks
- Continuously strive to enhance machine efficiency by identifying and implementing improvements to control systems
- Ensure systems are scalable and adaptable to future needs
- Apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide systems team
- Provide technical support to maintenance personnel and operators, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools necessary to operate and maintain control systems effectively and offer training sessions as needed
- Ensure all control systems comply with organizational electrical standards and safety programs
- Regularly review and update control systems to maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of control systems, processes, and standards. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant personnel.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 4-year degree in a related field required
- Four or more years related experience/training required
- Ability to use electrical test equipment and hand tools
- Proficient ability to engineer and design prints and schematics
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Expert knowledge of PLC and Operator Interface programming languages is required
