HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Senior Network Engineer - Cisco Wireless. The network engineer demonstrates subject matter expertise in a variety of network infrastructure areas, is responsible for network design, and focuses on developing, maintaining, and monitoring the technology integrity and functionality of core network infrastructure components used in the support of connectivity across the Enterprise. This position helps the business achieve optimum use of the network infrastructure by performing needs analyses, procurement support, installation, monitoring, configuration, training, security configuration and integrity, and problem resolution. This position also provides staff direction and mentoring. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or 3 years IT experience
- 5+ years' experience in designing, maintaining, and administering Networks.
- Experience with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocols, RF design, AP placement, cell optimization, QOS, and WLAN fundamentals.
- Experience in Cisco 9800 wireless controller configurations, upgrading, tuning, etc.
- Understanding Cisco ISE troubleshooting and management.
- Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center and wireless monitoring tools such as NetAlly Aircheck for spectrum analysis to ensure the quick resolution of problems.
- Knowledge of Cisco Spaces, RFID tracking for supporting Securitas Healthcare RTLS visibility and protection solutions.
- Knowledge in optimizing and troubleshooting VoWLAN deployments including Vocera, Cisco, and Avaya mobile phones.
- Excellent customer service and people skills. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and understand their needs including onsite troubleshooting with medical staff to better understand their technology needs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and General Desktop tools
- Experience writing technical and business documentation.
- Proficient at trouble shooting.
- Proficiency with TCP/IP networking and network security
- Experience guiding and mentoring junior level staff.
- Experience with managing midsized projects and coordinating major project tasks.
- Experience with firewalls, VPNS, and circuit design
- Ability to be on-call 24X7.

Responsibilities:
- Support Enterprise wireless Infrastructure at a SME level
- Configures, maintains, and monitors wireless Infrastructure.
- Analyzes and monitors wireless network traffic; documenting trends and capacity.
- Manages vendor support, communicating HealthPartners' needs and expectations and working with other IS&T groups to ensure effective and efficient networks.
- Partners with Telecom; designing and developing the appropriate network structure for Telecom's needs and expansion.
- Coordinates and partners with other IT groups: Hardware and Software Administrators and Telecom.
- Develops, installs, configures, monitors, and maintains all LAN and WAN connections; reviewing and maintaining the overall LAN and WAN architecture.
- Implements VPN connections, ensuring that the appropriate processes and security measures are followed.
- Defines Security needs and ensures that network control documentation is up to date and accurate.
- Designs and manages network support and services for group moves, adds, changes, construction changes and remodels.
- Diagnoses hardware and software problems; replacing defective components.
- Assesses security risks and proposes solutions for risk mitigation.
- Manages project tasks; partnering across IS&T to meet project timelines.
- Responds to Audits and Requests for Information as applicable.
- Edits and maintains current controls and documentation; ensuring that a review process is performed, and the appropriate updates are made.
- Provides technical mentoring and consultation to other staff and business partners.
