Are you a licensed clinical mental health professional looking to make a positive impact within your community? New Hanover County is seeking to hire a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join the team in the Health and Human Services Agency as a school mental health therapist. This position is assigned to New Hanover County schools to provide therapeutic services to students where duties include completing comprehensive clinical evaluations; developing/monitoring individual treatment plans; conducting initial intake assessments; identifying the needs of clients and linking them to the necessary resources; providing individual, group, and family therapy; documenting services and submitting billing information for reimbursement; and writing reports. Hours:
Hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. Must be available to work during emergency situations.
Salary Information:
The current hiring range for this position is
$62,126 - $83,870.50 plus a competitive benefits package.
Salary will be determined based on qualifications, internal equity, budget, and market considerations.
Bilingual candidates
able to read, speak, and write in Spanish and English with the same degree of fluency are eligible for a 5% differential when performing duties utilizing this skill during the course of performing work duties.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, and experience and education sufficient to obtain one of the required licenses.

Licenses/Certifications
-
Valid NC Drivers License and good driving record and one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or
- Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or
- Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA)
Provisionally licensed candidates may be considered as well, although priority consideration will be given to candidates with full licensure.
