The School of Business at Elmhurst University invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach
MBA-502 Analytical Tools for Management Decisions.
Course Description:
MBA-502 Analytical Tools for Management Decisions adopts a hands-on and problem-based approach in offering students an overview of a number of data analysis and decision-making tools commonly encountered by managers in a business environment. The course will focus on helping students apply, with the aid of Microsoft Excel and other computer software programs, analytical tools such as statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, optimization techniques and project management. |
Essential Functions |
- Teach data analysis and decision-making course, using tools including Microsoft Excel, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and regression testing.
- Be flexible relative to teaching schedule.
- Be available to students who have questions or require extra help.
- Set up, manage, and grade assignments using the Blackboard learning management system.

Other Duties and Responsibilities |
- Performs other teaching-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
MBA or higher degree.- Some college teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Some experience with data analysis for managerial decision making.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements |
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. |
Work Hours |
- Flexibility relative to teaching schedule.
- Availability for meetings with program faculty a few times during the semester.
